Well true .... But most WR's that goes into the season as the 3rd wide out .. is not going to be picked high. I guess my point was ..if he was on your radar before .. you now need to run to the wire if he is still available. |
I agree. If he was on your radar and not already on a team in your league you should think about grabbing him. it all depends on your team and if you need another WR, or you think he will out perform someone on your team already. |
I will ignore your last rant because it was not on topic. Anyhow, we can take at look at this.
Let's see, if he wasnt on his radar would that not make him a sleeper? That is what he called the thread. Or did we need to check with you first to determine that? |
See you have a problem if you think that was a rant you do need to finish grade school before you try to understand what people are writting in here as you have proven time and time again that you are clueless.
If he was not on his radar then he needs to do a little more research on players in the game. All I said is that he left sleeper status months ago. If you did not get the memo then yes, check with me and I will inform you of the player status and fantasy value. |
Yeah you dont understand the definition of a rant either. Apparently you are the resident mental midget of the board. And you still dont have a clue as to what a sleeper is. I dont expect you to get it either. Sure I am in grade school and I will respond to as many of these posts as you would like. I think it's hilarious honestly. But we really need to work on some of your comebacks. You are lacking in that department.....like a real midget. |
I understand both but your reading comprehension is what the real problem is here. I now understand why you do not understand this issue as you are in grade school. I do not need comeback. I just state the facts about you and that is all I need to do. If you are worried about comebacks go back to your grade school and talk to the kids that are your age. At least you should understand them.
Now lets try to get back on subject if you can.
All I said was that Jackson should not be considered a sleeper as of a few months ago. If you still think he is a sleeper then you need to become more informed. True statment. _________________

| Sorry if this is off topic but with a revamped left side of the O-Line with Fanica and Ferguson, holes will now open for Thomas Jones. He should do much better than the 1000 yards and 1 TD season last year.

| Ahman Green may be cut and Chris Brown only managed to stay healthy for a small amount of games the past few yrs ,so I think that Steve Slaton he has the oppurtunity to have the bulk of the workload.

I agree he was a BIG disapointment last year and some say he will increase his TDs by X10. _________________

It was hard to decipher through your poor grammar in that slop above. You do need help in that department but I will spare you since you mentioned a few times that this is not grade school. I will stick with the above.
So if you would not consider Jackson a sleeper as of a few months ago, why was he drafted in the second round? Second, you still dont know what a sleeper is. Once you understand what a sleeper is, you might have more of a clue and can chime in on the conversation. I think Biz spelled it out pretty clearly for you below. Good luck with your comprehension on his lesson plan for you. Thanks.

I think Jackson falls under this catergory. Before this injury, he was not going to be a starter on 95% of fantasy teams. But he could be picked up and stored away in the case something happens ... and in this case .. something did happen, he moved into the starting lineup. |

You have proven without a doubt that your reading comprehension is more than lacking. It has nothing to due with where he was drafted if you still think he is a sleeper then it just shows me that you do not know the value of fantasy players as well as you think. Good luck playing against you friends in grade school. _________________

Yeah because your baseball performance has indicated your superior judgment in recognizing sleepers and finding value. You really knocked that out of the park.
And relative value of a fantasy player has nothing to do with someone being a sleeper as you perceive it. It's all about other people's perceptions. Good luck in the world, you need it. _________________ Signatures are for pussies.

In the context of this thread, we were talking about fantasy sports so yes it does have to do with it. You really do have a problem reading and understanding. I am done with this thread as it has gone far beyond what it should have. We disagree with Jackson status and we will never agree.
If you want to compare fantasy performance then do a comparison between you and me on Yahoo and you will see that with you managing 90 teams you have won 21 trophies and I have managed 30 teams and I have 11 trophies. So even with one bad league here and there, you still pale in comparison. In every sport we have both played I have a better performance percentage then you do.
Now...I am done with you. LOL _________________

Wow...I mean...wow.
A few things to comment on between rounds. I agree with Biz's definition of a sleeper. I agree that Jackson was definitely a sleeper.
The Eagles WR situation is miserable, it's true. However, when the Eagles are successful, they spread the ball around to their miserable receivers. When the Eagles win, it is not uncommon to see 8-10 different people with a catch. To me, that is how they overcome their lack of talent. By spreading it around. Regardless, I would have loved to see Stallworth resigned two years ago or anyone with any kind of serious talent take over the #1 WR role. Curtis is nice (when healthy) but he's not a star. The Eagles will win games this year, but they could dominate with a star WR.
Also - from what I've seen of DeShaun Jackson, the thing that impresses me the most is the separation he gets. Most Eagles WRs catch the ball (or not) with defenders draped all over them. Jackson often seems to get that separation and can make plays after the catch. Let's hope he becomes something special and not another Freddy Mitchell.
You remember him, right Grid? :) _________________ Guerilla Warfare
