What a shitty weekend, Isaac Hayes died in Memphis at age 65 today.

He co-wrote the classic "Soul Man," of Sam and Dave fame as well as performing the theme from the real "Shaft" movie starring Richard Roundtree.

Of course most on here will only know him as the voice of "Chef" on South Park.

Too bad. Interesting singer, excellent chef.

What is the Scientology view on death? Does he go up on the spaceship?

You mean that you've always wished... you're like Mr. Garrison begging his dad to molest him you filthy little boy-slut.

Know your role and shut your mouth or I'll dig back into boilernole's photobucket for some more pics of you mr zgreenz1

And to top it all off Katie Holmes came down with a terminal case of Scientology.

I resent that "young people" comment.

I am one of those young people and I love Isaac's "Hot Buttered Soul" album.

Chef was hilarious as well. RIP.

The "Shaft" theme, which he also composed, is an all-time classic. South Park cracked me up from episode 1, and Hayes was a perfect fit for Chef. Fare thee well, Isaac.
