I heard a rumor that Chicago and New Jersey are looking to swap forwards, Brian Gionta could be traded for Martin Havlat. Gionta's 48 goals will never happen again, but I think the trade works for Chicago because Havlet is so injury prone.

Their is speculation that the Habs are after Marian Hossa. Also, as many as seventeen different teams scouts were seen At the last Maple Leafs games press box. I also hear that the Ducks are still looking to aquire a forward. I do not understand how, it seems like every other day the Ducks are adding new players. I just hope Detroit jumps into the fray.

Tampa Bay's Brad Richards has agreed to waive his no-trade clause and giving Tampa a green light to trade him. Vancouver, Dallas, Columbus, Montreal and Edmonton are all interested.

That is a heck of a pick up by the Flyers.

He has looked beyond horrible thus far. Always out of position, cant clear the zone, and makes some of the dumbest passes I have ever seen.

In other news, Sundin refuses to lift his clause.

Sabres trade Brian Campbell to the Sharks for right wing Steve Bernier and a first-round pick in this year's draft.

Ducks appear to be on the verge of trading defensman Mathieu Schneider. They are saying the deal could come in next day or 2...

Hockey Buzz is reporting that Blackhawks are talking to Senators about a deal that would send Brent Seabrook or Cam Barker and someone like Patrick Sharp to Sens for forward Antoine Vermette. Hawks have 9 defensman under contract and are looking to unload 1 or 2 for someone that is ready to contribute right away....

The other talk between Hawks and Sens has been about goaltenders Khabibulin and Martin Gerber. There is a 3rd team involved and its rumored to be either Kings or Thrashers. Hawks want to part with Khabibulin who is team's highest paid player and also may lose his job to Huet...

The details of the 3 way deal are this. The Kings get Martin Gerber and Andres Mezaros to the Kings.Brent Seabrook or Cam Barker and Nikolai Khabibulin to Ottawa. The Hawks would get Anze Kopitar.

This will probably get done over the weekend as the sticking point is the signing of Mezaros (RFA) to an extension with the Kings.

If Sundin goes to Montreal, all Leafs fans will be heart broken, doesn't accept a trade and then goes to our rival team the following year, bad form.

Both are good fits for him. If he goes to Vancouver he'll probably end up playing with Pavol Demitra. If he goes to Montreal he has Alex Tanguay waiting for him.
