It's been reported that the Bulls are offering the Lakers Andres Nocioni, Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, and Joakim Noah in exchange for Kode Bryant. They said that the Lakers want Deng in any deal which involves Koby, however Chicago says Luol Deng is off limits.

What do you guys think? is this enough for Koby? and can this actually happen with all of the teams that would want Bryant?

I really don't think so for a couple reasons:
- In terms of star power the Lakers lose big time. No one will spend Laker money to see those guys.
- In basketball you need a superstar (except the Pistons). Kobe is a top scorer and excellent defender. He can take over a game whenever he wants. Take away Kobe and you have these 4, Odom, Brown and Byrum. Who would step up in a big game?

IMO there must be a star in the trade. I don't think you can get even value without LeBron. Otherwise the Lakers need a Chris Paul+, or Carmelo+2, or Dwight Howard.... It doesn't get done with 4 mediocre players.

Yea totally empire .... HUGE ripoff if you ask me ... Kobe is the foundation of any team .. i would expect 2 stars to be shipped the other way in any deal... not to mention picks .... Even deng, in that deal doesnt cut it.

I think there are only a few teams that even have a shot. The Suns have the talent to trade...but not sure how interested they are. the Lakers will likely want Amare instead of Marion, who the Suns are shopping.

that is definitely not enough for Kobe... Nocioni is a decent player, Noah and Thomas could be pretty good and Ben Gordon is out of contract at the end of this year. It was reported that Gordon wants around 70 mill for 5 years (he is dreaming)...this is not enough for Kobe.

Some1 mentioned earlier that for something to get done it would need to include a superstar ... Suns are a definite possibility because they can offer Marion, another player and picks for Kobe.

Indiana is a good chance as well because they can send Jermaine O'Neal to Lakers.

Randy Foye is out for several weeks with a knee injury.
Mavs waived DJ Mbenga, looks like they are making room for Juwan Howard who was waived by Wolves.
There is a rumor that Kobe may be in street clothes for the season opener ... we shall see.
Kenyon Martin may start at PF with Nene still not 100% healthy.
Jarret Jack beat out Steve Blake for the starting job.
Nick Collison (C - eligibility) is a real good pick up, he is starting because of an injury to Robert Swift.
Earl Watson is starting for Sonics as Ridnour may miss up to 2 weeks.

According to ESPN's Ric Bucher, a trade that would have sent Kobe Bryant to Chicago and Ron Artest and Ben Wallace to Los Angeles has fallen through.

The three-team deal with the Kings likely also would have involved Kirk Hinrich, but if Kobe ends up going to the Bulls, Sacramento apparently won't be a third team

Do you know who would Kings be getting? Hinrich and picks?

Also Magic Johnson said that if there is any Kobe deal with Chicago it has to involve Luol Deng, otherwise no deal.

P.J. Brown? This would've been last year.

Al Jefferson signed a contract extension with Minnesota Timberwolves (5 years, 65 mill)... 13 mill per year for next 5 years, for a guy who will be 1 of the top power forwards in the league is a bargain in anyone's book.

Also, Emeka Okafor rejected Bobcats contract offer and he will become a free agent after July 1. Apparently the deal wasnt a max deal he was hoping to get. Okafor was No 2 pick in the draft and No 1 pick Dwight Howard got a max deal couple months ago.

The other top unsigned picks from that draft are Ben Gordon, Luol Deng and Andre Iguodala, who are all free agents after the season.

Lakers coach Phil Jackson has reportedly signed a 2 year contract extension worth around 24 mill. He was in his final year. Wow is all I can say.

Charlotte Bobcats who are in need of a big man (or 2) have signed Anderson Varejao to a 3-year offer sheet worth around 17 mill. Cavs now have 1 week to match the offer and retain Varejao. NBA source reports that Cavs will match the offer...
