So James Posey landed himself a fat contract. He agreed to a 4 year deal worth 25 mill with New Orleans Hornets. Its alot of money but Posey does 3 things for Hornets: gives them an outside shooter (they only have Peja and Mo Pete), he becomes team's best perimeter defender and adds depth to their thin bench...

He's an excellent bench option but it's risky to sign a guy who is 33 for 4 years.

Yeah, I dont see 6 mill per season an issue here, like you said only the length of the deal...

Another things Posey does for Hornets is that he adds a veteran leadership to a very young squad. 2 rings with 2 different teams (Heat and C's)...

Warriors resign Ellis. 6 years, 66 million

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AuRiJSED8ALi2GpObJs8QfE5nYcB?slug=ap-warriors-ellis&prov=ap&type=lgns

This will turn out to be a bargain of a deal.

I'll have to agree with that. Anything is possible but barring an injury this guy will turn into another Gilbert Arenas. 11 mill a year for a guy like Ellis is hellova deal.

Arenas (first 3 years)

11 PPG and 4 APG, 18 PPG and 6 APG, 20 PPG and 5 APG

Ellis:

7 PPG and 2 APG, 16 PPG and 4 APG, 20 PPG and 4 APG

Never underestimate the magnitude of his laziness. He got away with it under the watchful eye of the GREAT JORDAN.
