ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on Monday Night Countdown that Ronnie Brown could be on a team other than the Dolphins by Week 1.

Huh? Mortensen is probably Bill Parcells' mouthpiece here, and the Tuna may be trying to drum up interest. Brown has struggled in the preseason after ACL surgery, but is only 26. While Ricky Williams supplanting Brown as a starter is possible, we wouldn't expect any trade. We would expect Brown's precarious fantasy value to take a hit as his stock in the organization is dimming

This is a shocker to me. Ronnie Brown's still a young guys, and a pretty talented back .. I am wondering if they are being a bit impatient with him .. considering that Ricky Williams is there other option .. IDN .. what do you guys think on this?

Ronnie Brown is a lightweight, always has been since turning pro. Doesn't surprise me at all that the Big Tuna isn't a fan.

They've been testing the market for Ricky forever and got no takers, might as well move the other one if they can get good value.

Maybe I missed something on the Ronnie Brown front. People claim he is an ahole punk. Please let me know the stories.

Ricky Williams is looking good during this summer. I hope this happens, cause I've been picking up Williams late in a bunch of my fantasy drafts.

Tony Soprano (I know its Sporano, but he is Soprano to me) said there is no way they are trading Ronnie Brown.

I can't see them trading Ronnie Brown. He was insane last year before his injury. It would be a mistake to rely on Ricky in the backfield.

Right, because relying on Ronnie Brown has been so much more fruitful.

Quote:
Coach Tony Sparano said Tuesday there's "no chance" the Dolphins will trade Ronnie Brown.

"There was no discussion of that internally or externally," said Sparano, who said the rumor wasn't a tough one to dispel. "That is easy," he said. "I wish they were all like that." The rumor didn't really make sense when Miami's whole offense is based around the running game. Ronnie remains a risky mid-round pick, but this should calm things down.

Doubt they trade him, you dont want to go into the season with Ricky as your No1. Brown should've been gone before the draft or on the draft day - then McFadden should've been No 1 overall and not Long.
