Starting off team predictions with the AFC Least err i mean East

1. New England Patriots Projected Record 13-3

Hard to argue this division is simply theirs for the taking.Realistically they may have one game within the division that could be close.Out of the division they do face San Diego, Indianapolis and the Steelers.Even if they lose to the Chargers and Colts, realistically everyone else on their schedule is beatable.I'm going with one loss against the Jets, the away game vs the Chargers and one week that they beat themselves.

2. New York Jets Projected Record 10-6

Spent plenty of money in the off season $140 million to be exact.Definitely upgraded their roster from last year.Question remains will Favre make a difference? Only time will tell.Enough talent around to be compettitive on both sides of the ball.Still won't have enough overall to challenge the Patriots.

3. Buffalo Bills Projected Record 7-9

Too many question marks remain for the Bills. Can Trent Edwards improve and be more a consistent threat? Biggest hurdle for the Bills is a lack of depth at many positions.A weak O-Line doesn't help matters at all either.James Hardy will be a nice surprise.

4. Miami Dolphins Projected Record 4-12

Can't be as brutal as last year can they? With Pennington they do have an experienced QB.However his noodle arm and the likelihood of injuries make for many sleepless nights. No Zach Thomas or Jason Taylor on defense as well.Cardiac doctors in Miami must be lining up to look after the Big Tuna.

I like these, I think that you're right on the ball. I don't have time to look at the sched. atm but this order makes perfect sense.

Pats are going 16-0. They are just as good as last season, and now they'll be motivated by falling short in the Super Bowl. I think the Pats are going to destroy the league again

Who did they lose in the offseason? Donte Stallworth who didnt do shit, and Junior Seau. Mayo will replace Seau. They have the same, if not a better team. I know going undefeated takes more then just having a good team, but they are also well coached, and all the players buy into Bellicheck's system. I think they have what it takes to repeat a perfect season.

I'm not sold on the Jets being 10-6 just yet. The Jets as an organization has been terribly slow starters to begin each season. It seems like it take that team 3-4 games to catch there legs each year ... They have alot of new faces on that team ... I need to see it to believe it.

With the talent the Jets brought in Biz, i don't see a slow start like in past seasons.

A) You lost Asante Samuel. Asante Samuel. The ridiculously good Pro-Bowl cornerback, remember him?
B) Don't forget about the trouble with Nick Kaczur. They also might lose him for some time.
C) Randy Moss is 31. So is Tom Brady. So is Adalius Thomas. Bruschi is 35. Vrabel is 33. Rodney Harrison is 36. In short, some of your key players are getting a little older, and though none of them are fossils, we could easily see a key injury or lost step here or there.
D) Your schedule is a little harder. The Jets are much much MUCH better, for one.
E) Your Superbowl loss is not going to "energize" you. This is a bs intangible argument that means nothing.

Don't get me wrong, the Pats should be great this year. But there is no way they go 16-0. Get a grip on reality.

I mean, they have some hard games to start the season this year, but after that their schedule is a joke. I mean, just look at it and you'll realize how pathetic the teams they play are.

To tell the truth, as a Jets fan, I'm very optimistic that they can sneak into that 6th spot that the Titans got last year.

A) True, Samuel was good, but who got burned by Plax on the last TD of the Super Bowl? Asante Samuel. He goes for the INT everytime, and either swats the ball away or gets burned. Im not saying he isnt a big loss, but he can be replaced

B) Solid point, older=more injury prone. Age could be a factor, but I think that age on paper doest cause much of an issue for the team

C) Govt Snitch=Get out of Jail Free Card. I highly doubt that since there will be minimal legal action against him, that there will be any NFL penalties.

D) I see two really tough games on the Pats schedule. Week 6 @ SD and Week 9 @ Indy. True, teams have gotten better, but they havent gotten better then the Pats. They may play a closer game, but the Jets havent come close to surpassing the Pats talent wise.

E) Spygate last season seemed to do the trick. The Pats get questioned, and they rally together. They demolished the league to prove they were legit last season, why can they do it again. It isnt a BS arguement, they are gonna be hungry for a championship this season.

Chargers will beat NE week 6 and will have Home Field. If they are healthy, they win LAST year, they will be healthier this season and will be the AFC rep in the Super Bowl.

+1

The Patriots aren't fooling anyone this year, the Giants showed the league how to beat them and they play more than a few teams that can do it. The undefeated ship has sailed for them.

The Jets just don't have very much chemistry, unless Brett really is a magician there is no way they win 10 games - they're on the same level as the Bills.

1. New England Patriots - 14-2

They'll lose to Chargers in Week 6 and Colts in Week 9 - both road games. Jets have a chance at beating them in Week 2 and apart from that I dont see anyone else beating them even though Week 16 game against Bills in Buffallo on Dec 28 looms somewhat of a danger game...

2. New York Jets - 10-6

I see them losing in Week 2 (Pats), Week 3 (San Diego), Week 9 (Buffalo), Week 11 (Pats), Week 12 (Tennessee) and Week 16 (Seattle). Oh yeah and Vdog will be putting on that Cowboys sig come playoffs...

3. Buffalo Bills - 8-8

They should be better this year but they do play 2 games against the best team in football and Jets are much better than last year. Losses in Week 2 (San Diego), Week 5 (Arizona), Week 7 (San Diego), Week 10 (Pats), Week 11 (Browns). 3 big games to close out the season - against Jets (road), Broncos (road) and Pats (home). I think they lose all 3 and finish 8-8...

4. Miami Dolphins - 2-14

Jets are better this year and I see Jets winning both games. Cant see Fins beating Pats or Bills. In fact their 2 wins will probably be against Ravens and Niners at home - that's it. Good luck Bill Parcells...

I may be a Giants fan (I am!), and I may have been dancing around my friend's house throwing beer everywhere, but I'm pretty sure that was Ellis Hobbs Plax left eating dirt in the SB... mr zgreenz1

Pats 14-2
Jets 8-8 or 9-7
Bills 7-9
Dolphins 3-13
